Michelle Kenney is a partner with Knutson, Flynn & Deans and joined
the firm in July 1994. Prior to her joining the firm, she was a
law clerk and associate attorney with a law firm in Irvine, California
that focused on the practice of school law. Ms. Kenney received
her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Los
Angeles, and graduated from Southwestern University School of Law
in Los Angeles, California in 1990. She is a member of the Minnesota
Bar Association, Ramsey County Bar Association, Minnesota School
Boards Association and the State Bar of California.
Ms. Kenney brings to the firm experience representing school districts
in the areas of labor and employment law, student rights and student
discipline, special education, litigation, discrimination, bidding
and construction issues, and business matters. She has represented
clients in state and federal courts and in administrative hearings.
Ms. Kenney is the former co-editor of the Minnesota Council of School
Attorneys Newsletter and currently serves as a Director of the Council.
Ms. Kenney was recently named by Minnesota Law & Politics
Magazine as a Rising Star for 2003.
