The law firm represents numerous school districts, both in the Twin Cities area, and throughout the State of Minnesota. In addition our firm is on the panels of various insurance carriers providing insurance defense on behalf of Minnesota school districts.

We have served as bond counsel for over 250 school district building bond and refunding bond issues since 1987, as well as levy referendums, and have worked extensively with all the major fiscal consultants in the state. As a result, we are experienced with all pertinent issues relating to school district election laws, school finance and all laws relative to the issuance of school district obligations.

Our firm has been legal counsel for the Minnesota School Boards Association. We are the past editors of the Council of School Attorneys' Newsletter, which advises other attorneys practicing in the field of recent developments in school law. We also prepared all of the research bulletins contained in the Service Manual of the Minnesota School Boards Association and drafted the sample collective bargaining agreements contained in the Service Manual.

Our firm assisted the Minnesota School Boards Association and the Minnesota Association of School Administrators by developing and drafting all the model policies in the MSBA/MASA Policy Services Manual and we work with MSBA to provide new policies annually, as well as updates and modifications to existing policies as necessary.
